Real Tantrist?

Us and our Western way of life. What makes us an expert on something? There is a book out that has some people convinced that it takes 20,000+ hours of practice over the span of years in order to be an expert in any particular field. There are TedTalks out that try to get people around that thinking to let us know that we do not have to be experts to be knowledgeable and productive in a field. We can be very good and still not be in the top 5% for our industry and that is great for a lifetime full of responsibilities and activities. We also have people who have little knowledge and/or practice but still feel as if they are experts in some respect- sometimes because they are well read on a subject. This brings me to the topic of this post.

I've read on tantra, experienced the energy of tantric masters, practiced, been initiated, raised my kundalini, and even provided some tantric healing. The main reason that I will not refer to myself as an expert is because I live a modern lifestyle full of doing and responsibility and eating Mexican food while I think of "real" tantrists as dedicating themselves to the work with much practice and focus and hours upon hours of experience strictly adhering to one system. I'm here to do some debunking for myself.

While not an expert I have learned enough to have a positive impact on some others who are seeking this path. I have done a great deal of self-reflection and experienced a ton of growth. I've incorporated things from a few different branches of energy healing, tantric healing, and intuition and fused it into something that I feel is of benefit to those I choose to share it with. I've decided to stop being skeptical of integrating different systems of healing and to provide healing. Intention means a lot. If the intentions are good and the benefits are experienced nobody is loosing and yes, I am doing modern tantra, being a modern tantrist. I'm here and very real. This is an art, and one of the most fulfilling things I've come across in my life that allows me to express my creativity. I am flowing with this. I love fluidity. May we all embrace our paths and be accepting of where we are.

Modern Tantrist?

What is a tantrist and what is a modern tantrist? I used to feel as if concepts like neo and modern tantra were conflicting. I felt that the true knowledge was from the ancient past. Egyptians, Taoists, and Tibetans came to mind. Yet the conflict with this view is that right now we are living in modern times, doing modern things, and even if we are practicing ancient traditions we are living and doing it right now! Perhaps I am playing on words with my previous statement, but modern tantra is the tantra of the times. Tantra is an art. It allows us to paint the picture of our lives by actively creating or we can also choose the path of being a witness and seeing the beauty in everything that appears to us.

To be a tantrist is to be a disciple who adheres to the idea of a movement and spreads the word about it. This is a general definition that you will get if you look it up online. However, those who have been practicing tantra in modern times might disagree with this definition based on the fact that tantra is an art and in art deviation is allowed. The artist is a creator. Perhaps a modern tantrist adheres to the principles of artistry if nothing else. Creating the moment, enjoying the stimuli in their environment, and rolling with the flow of pleasure. If modern and tantrist do not seem to go together for you I understand. I was there a short time ago. I am a tantrika who sees some value to living in the modern world, and I have found ways to enjoy using ancient practices for enhancement.

The Expansion of Self through Tantric Orgasm

Imagine a big white ball of light forming under your ribcage. With every heartbeat, the light expands and creates a deep boom in your spirit. With each expansion of light, the boom deepens. You are in a trance all while being prompted by the gentle voice in your head and the motion of your own body to let go, let go a little more, you can let go even more...Your body convulses, your brain waves change frequency, and you realize that you no longer have an identity. You are having an experience of being one with all. The sonic booms remind you of sounds of creation. The mantra Om comes to mind. You have been set at the seat of creation. The imposer on the primordial soup, you can create anything with the direction of your thoughts. Nobody talks about this- there is nobody to talk to- nothing to be separate from yet you know that there is another part of life where we are separate. Testing this out, you start to think of your desires. Just as soon as you do, it becomes clear that your will is done. You think of the desires of your friends, you realize that you can even impact people that you do not know everywhere over the world. You are overwhelmed with your own power and love and reach ultimate humility, your mind body and spirit orgasm simultaneously. You are aroused by your own power.

This particular state of being was achieved through work with a SOL System healer.
This healing modality puts emphasis on clients being able to experience bliss in the now. This is not only applicable for while you are receiving services (although the services rate high on the pleasure meter) but it is about learning how to experience bliss in your life. When peace and joy radiate from within, life is much more enjoyable. A link to their site is below.
